Did you know that the Laser Tag Industry turns 30 Years old this year? Since that first location opened, there have been over 4,000 laser tag attractions opened around the world for players of all ages to enjoy.

Laser tag, as an attraction, is enjoyed by millions of players all around the world every year. The exciting "Game of the Future" has become just that, with no signs of slowing down any time soon!

Operators around the world celebrated National Laser Tag Day on March 28, 2014 with a variety of promotions and marketing ideas.

Here are just a few of the great ideas that incredible laser tag owners and operators used to pormote National Laser Tag Day:

Kevin caster, co-owner of Invasion Laser Tag, San Mateo, CA utilized his laser tag equipment's features to create a cool promotion:

"I’m about to put together a promotion that will run on 3/28 and 3/29 that will include rolling back laser tag game prices to the 80’s(I believe it was something like $2.50 or $2.75 per game.  Our in house Photon expert has all those details).

We will also be playing 80’s music and running LaserForce Photon Emulation 7 ½  minute games with the authentic Photon soundtrack every other game.

I was thinking of doing this from 7pm – 9pm both nights after our birthday parties end then going with a Photon themed Midnight Madness Friday and Saturday night from 9pm – Midnight(normal prices would apply here) and run a few Photon games during those sessions."

Dexter Morgan, Tag Ops, Fresno, CA was highly creative in his promotion:

"So for your laser tag contest. Maybe an 80s throwback contest? Have people show up in their best 80s cloths to coincide with the origins of laser tag and best outfit gets a prize? Or maybe even person who can look most like George Carter from the famous pucture?

Marketing wise, maybe a "Retro-Tag" theme? Build up the fact that this is some of the last remaining original equipment and that it may never happen again. As well as how many years it has taken to make it happen."

Brian Jackson, owner of The Fun Junction Dewitt, NY and The Fun Junction Cicero, NY had a fantastic promotion:

NATIONAL LASER TAG DAY - Friday March 28th 2014
** 30 Regular Laser Tag Games for $30 ** Only a limited number available today at each location and online.

Steve McCabe, owner of Xtreme Fun Center in Largo, FL made a large sign and took it to a Tampa Bay Lightning ice hocley game and had his sign displayed on the Jumbotron in front of 20,000 spectators!!!
